Mackenzie Park resides off of I-27 North near Joyland Amusement Park. This park is known to be one of the best in Lubbock and can offer you a wide range of options no matter what your interests are. This park has the typical things that a park usually has plus more that you wouldn’t expect. Mackenzie Park has playgrounds, ponds, walking paths, and picnic areas. This park also offers golf, swimming in their aquatic center and a prairie dog habitat. No matter the day of the week, Mackenzie Park is open from sunrise to sunset, which gives people plenty of time to make the most of what this park has to offer.
Legacy Play Village
Legacy Play Village is located near Marsha Sharp Freeway and has been open to the public since 2002. Like Mackenzie Park, this park has many things to offer. However, this location is more centered for children because of its expansive, castle-like playground, and open space with ramps and climbing structures. The Legacy Play Village Park is open from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm Monday through Sunday for your convenience. Young children and adults would enjoy going here to play and walk around.
Tech Terrace Park
This expansive park settles in Tech Terrace near J&B Coffee. Tech Terrace Park is known for being popular among the college crowd because it is close to campus. This park, like the others, has large areas for different activities along with picnic spots, swings and walking path gardens. Tech Terrace Park also has a jogging track and a dog park and is open 24 hours every day of the week. Even though this park is most common for college kids, people from any age can enjoy the relaxation that Tech Terrace Park can give.
