Top Spots for Happy Hour

If you’re a local or a visitor from out of town, Lubbock offers a great variety of happy hours for anyone to enjoy. You can find great margaritas, domestic and imported beer, and delicious cocktails. Here are three recommendations that for sure will meet your needs.

Chimy’s Cerveceria

Located on Broadway in front of Texas Tech’s main entrance, you can find Chimy’s Cerveceria. This is a Mexican style bar that offers anything from shots to Margaritas! They offer all-day happy hour on Monday and Tuesday and 4 to 6 pm on Wednesday through Friday. However, for Tech student it seems like it’s happy hour every hour. If you are looking for a place to eat Mexican inspired food and a cool breeze consider Chimy’s but just don’t show up too late because there’s always a line.

Caprock Cafe

Caprock Cafe is one of those local spots everyone loves and enjoys. It’s a saloon-like restaurant with bison heads hanging off the walls and anything cowboy as decor. They offer delicious and mouth watering char-grilled burgers and a broad assortment of drinks. Happy Hour is every day from 3 to 7 pm, but on Mondays, they have $3 schooners all day! As well, they offer daily specials like their enticing Blue Zunis (a drink offered frozen or on the rocks, that comes with two shots of Jose Cuervo Gold to make a luscious blue margarita) for only $5.99 on Saturdays! Overall, Caprock Cafe is a great place to enjoy with family or with friends. They have something for everyone. As they say, Caprock Cafe, where West Texas Plays!
