Lubbock Symphony Winter Sound Chamber

Interested in live music? The Lubbock Symphony Orchestra is an experience that takes symphonic performances to a whole new level. Their popular Winter Chamber Concert will be taking place on February 4th at the LHUCA Christine Devitt Icehouse. Moore Cajun Smokehouse at Wolfforth Farmers Market 

It’s that time of the year! Wolfforth Farmers Market is a local, indoor/outdoor farmers market that provides fresh seasonal produce sold by weekly vendors. Opening at the Wolfforth Farmers Market on February 8th is the Moore Cajun Smokehouse. Making their signature chili seasoning, beef sausage, and beef boudin as well as creole deserts and cookies for a perfect combination of sweet and savory. Be sure to stop by from 10 am- 2 pm and get the ultimate cold-weather comfort meal.

Canvas and Couples 

Need iseas for a fun date night? Spend quality time with a loved one while discovering your inner artist. The Maxey Community Center is hosting a Canvas and Couples Workshop on February 15th. The workshop will include everything needed to complete your masterpiece, in addition to instruction from talented artists and snacks. Pre-registration is required by February 13th, so sign up and create a one of a kind piece of artwork with your significant other. 

Will Banister & Friends

Going down at the Cactus Theatre, don’t miss the all-new classic country concert with Will Banister and friends Danny Cadra and Jason Fellers. These local and upcoming artists will be presenting the music of Merle Haggard, George Strait, Dwight Yoakam, and Keith Whitley. Come and listen to top hits that are indelibly etched in the mind of every country music fan. The show date is at 7:30 pm on February 21st, tickets are available now!

Lubbock Lions Club’s 68th Annual Pancake Festival

Mark your calendars! The Lubbock Lions Club will be hosting it’s 68th Annual Pancake Festival on February 22nd. The Lions Club was awarded the 2009 Guinness Book of World Records winner for serving the most pancakes in 8 hours by a nonprofit organization. Approximately 5500 lbs of pancake mix, 36,000 ounces of pancake syrup, and 66,459 pancakes were made- feeding 17,500 people. This year, the event will be located at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center from 7 am- 8 pm, so make sure to go hungry!
